Ansouis In the southern part of the Luberon, this village is renowned for its medieval castle, which has been inhabited by the Sabran-Ponteves family for more than a thousand years. It shelters a collection of 17th and 18th century furniture as well as beautiful tapestries.
At the feet of the castle, the houses are set in a semicircle on the side of the hill, protected from the Mistral wind.

What is now the Extraordinary Museum used to house the workshop of painter and deep-sea diver Georges Mazoyer. A fossil collection of fishes and animals collected either at the bottom of far away oceans or in the Luberon are displayed underneath the medieval vaults. The museum also features the paintings, sculptures and ceramics of Georges Mazoyer.

Wine lovers will enjoy the visit of the Vineyard and Wine Museum in the Chateau de Turcan.
