Located on a ridge, Lacoste offers a magnificent view over the village of Bonnieux. Lacoste is a village nestled on top of a hill. Its little pedestrian paved streets bordered by stone houses are truly beautiful. The village shelters the Castle of Marquis de Sade, which dates back to the 11th century. Sacked and destroyed during the French Revolution, the castle was then partially restaured during the 1970s.
As you stroll around the village, you will discover the Goats door, the southern gate of Lacoste, the bell-tower, the washing place and the Saint Trophime church.
