A true 'museum of the living world', an educational and fun space, the first of its kind, entirely devoted to the world of fruits and vegetables, telling the story from the seed through to finished products.
Exhibitions change with the changing seasons, and take you along a discovery trail in the vegetabke garden and the orchard. The visitor is immersed in the living universe of fruit and vegetables, with 7 different areas on over 8000m2. All five senses are stimulated by the images and information from five continents. Learn about just what is a fruit, what is a vegetable ? ? About fruits and vegetables in our food cycle, about culinary practices and industrial processes, the many varieties of past and present day, crops in the open field and under greenhouses.
Seasonal varieties and varieties from Provence naturally are in the fore, in gardens which show hundreds of varieties of fruit and vegetable species. Throughout the visit, put all five senses to work with the interactive things to do, which make it fun to learn. Hands-on learning makes the world of fruit and vegetables a very tangible experience. The Epicurium also proposes a yearly programme of workshops and activities for all ages :
